10 White Dog Breeds That Survive In The Cold

1. Samoyed

This pure white dog breed likes snow. Avoid reading further. Samoyeds are medium-sized dogs with husky sled-pulling ability and teddy bear faces. 

2. Great Pyrenees

The Great Pyrenees is the largest all-white dog breed. They may weigh over 100 pounds and have a thick double coat to withstand frigid winds and cold temperatures. 

3. Kuvasz

No other breed possesses the white coat of the Hungarian herding dog Kuvasz. Some owners have created yarn from their wavy fur. Insulation from their thick coat keeps them warm in winter and cool in summer.

4. Polish Tatra Sheepdog

They gained thick, white coats while herding and guarding in Poland in the 1800s. They need modest grooming for a fluffy breed. They only shed abundantly in late spring and seldom require washing.

5. Siberian Husky

Huskies are divisive. The active, smart canines were designed to pull sleds for miles, so they won't be couch potatoes. Huskies need to walk and may fight if they don't.

6. American Eskimo

American Eskimo isn't much of an American creation. It was originally called the German Spitz and was employed as a farm dog by German Americans.

The Japanese spitz is more suited to confined areas than other spitz-type dogs, yet they still have a thick coat, curled tail, and energetic attitude.

8. Komondor

Hungary has long employed komodors as herding dogs. Between 8 and 12 months, their fur cords. From there, no brushing. To maintain your Komondor's cords, bathe and fan-dry them regularly.

9. West Highland White Terrier

Westies seem little, but beware. These resilient small dogs are strong. The white coat once distinguished them when hunting vermin, but today it makes them lovely companions.

A nicer family dog is hard to find. Cotons de Tulear are gentle, sociable, and loyal, making them ideal for families with children, cats, or other canines.
