Burger King Is Making This Major Upgrade to Its Food

Burger King is trying to regain its second-largest burger chain status after Wendy's overtook it this year. 

. For its August earnings call, the firm promised extensive menu, restaurant design, and digital experience enhancements. 

Burger King is banning 120 artificial and potentially dangerous substances from its menu items to serve real food,

according to a press statement. BK has assured fans that their burgers, sauces, and sides will taste great during the recipe modification.

Multiple years ago, Burger King pledged to eliminate artificial colors, flavors, and preservatives from its menu

“We realize our guests' expectations are shifting, and they want to make decisions they can feel good about," said Burger King North America CMO Ellie Doty.

By banning these 120 ingredients from our food, we're offering guests an easy choice—delicious food made with quality ingredients."

Like McDonald's, Burger King is using celebrities and meal endorsements to promote their new, healthier meals. 

So, musician Nelly, singer Larissa Machado, and TikTok star Lil Huddy are receiving famous meals. Included in Keep It Real Meals:

Nelly—a flame-grilled Whopper with cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayo, and ketchup, tiny fries, and a small Sprite.
