LSU's Angel Reese speaks out on the reports and rumors surrounding her absence

Star player for LSU women's basketball Angel Reese was not present when the Tigers defeated Southeastern Louisiana 73-50 on Sunday, and head coach Kim Mulkey hasn't provided many details about her absence from the game.

Rumors of Reese's benching have been circulating ever since she missed the second half of her team's 109-79 victory over Kent State on November 14.

Reese felt compelled to provide a quick statement on Sunday regarding the rumors circulating about her whereabouts.

After helping lead LSU to the 2022–23 national championship, Reese's notoriety has only grown. During the offseason, she has been featured in multiple advertisements and rap videos.

The Maryland native will continue to generate a lot of attention as the endorsement deals roll in and the LSU team stays in the public eye.

Monday night at 7 p.m., LSU plays Texas Southern; it's unclear if Reese will be allowed to participate.
