McDonald's Latest Celeb Meal Gets Backlash From Customers

McDonald's has begun promoting celebrity-endorsed dishes lately. And why not? Last September, the chain's first celeb menu partnership in 30 years

the Travis Scott meal, was successful. The lunch was a hit, connecting the stodgy brand to a previously untapped market. 

After the J Balvin dinner, the BTS lunch shattered foot traffic records and boosted McDonald's sales.

The chain's latest partnership with rapper Saweetie, released a few days ago, continues their celeb meal series. 

Even though the Saweetie lunch is popular, people are criticizing it on social media.

One reason consumers are getting annoyed is that McDonald's fundamental menu staples like Big Macs, Chicken McNuggets, and fries

all that's left after the glittering promotional campaigns and customized packaging. Some say the Saweetie meal is more smoke and mirrors 

 Than the Travis Scott, J Balvin, and BTS meals, which contained a jazzed-up Quarter Pounder, a free McFlurry, and new dipping sauces.
