Windstar Starts The Winter Season 2023–2024 In Europe

Windstar Cruises' new winter and holiday sailing itineraries from December 2023 to April 2024 on the award-winning all-suite, 312-guest Star Legend will allow passengers to see Barcelona, Nice, Florence/Livorno, Marseille, and Rome in a new light.

"The ship was supposed to travel in the Middle East. Our start in that region has been delayed until November 2024, said Windstar Cruises President. "With a Mediterranean ship, we could give passengers a renowned European winter.

Small ships and intimate environment offer a unique approach to experience Europe's winter wonderlands while enjoying the season's charm and Windstar's comforts and casual elegance."

The seven-night itineraries have been carefully planned to take advantage of less crowds and better access to museums, cultural events, historical monuments, local food, and true local involvement.

New Mediterranean weeklong trips will run from December 2023 until April 2024. Sixteen voyages visit Florence & Pisa (Livorno), Italy; Marseille, France; and stay at popular cities including Rome, Barcelona, and Monte Carlo.

The final new Mediterranean series cruise is an eight-night Rome-Athens voyage to the Amalfi Coast and Greece. Christmas cruises might be 8 or 9 days long, including New Year's Eve.

Travelers can enjoy Nice's holiday markets and ice skating, Rome's Vatican, St. Peter's Basilica, and Trevi Fountain tours, Florence's Light Festival, and many other unforgettable winter experiences.

Guests may also celebrate Christmas eve and day in Rome, New Year's in Barcelona, Valentine's Day in Nice, and Carnevale in Spain and Italy at the end of February.

Windstar may now place its all-suite Star Legend at Cannes in early December to coincide with the International Luxury Travel Market (ILTM) conference due to the scheduling adjustment.

Windstar executives Prelog, Dianna Rom, and Janet Bava will show attendees the ship's $250 Million Star Plus Initiative renovation and offer a two-night cruise to Rome.
